WELCOME TO SOUTHEASTERN MICHIGAN'S
FLY FISHING SERVICE

Established in 2003, Schultz Outfitters is Southeastern Michigan's only full-time, four-season fly-fishing guide service. Working the majority of the season on our home waters of the Huron River, we specialize in warm water fly-fishing for smallmouth bass, carp, and pike. With over 60 miles of floatable river at our doorstep we have the ability to fish all of it with the use of our drift boats, rafts, and jet sled. Over the years we have created unique programs including dry fly fishing for Smallmouth during the massive Hexagenia and Ephoron hatches of July and August, to Mulberry carpin' in June and July. Our warm water programs make for an enjoyable day on the water.

If warm water angling isn't your game we offer Trout, Steelhead, and Salmon trips in both Ohio and Michigan, plus the opportunity to visit exotic locales like Alaska, the Baja Peninsula, the Bahamas, and more. Located on the southern shore of Lake Erie, Steelhead Alley hosts the largest runs of steelhead in the world from September - early May. During the early fall you will find us chasing salmon, trout, and the occasional early steelhead in Northern Michigan. Fall is a great time to be on the river chasing large andromanous species or sight fishing for resident browns and rainbows feasting on the egg buffet.
